You'll never guess who put rocker Rick Springfield to shame at the gym.

On Friday, the 76-year-old "Jessie's Girl" singer snapped a photo with none other than stage and screen legend Dick Van Dyke, who evidently has a very impressive workout regimen for his age.

"Filming an episode of Men's Health and I went to the gym and who should be there but 99-year-old Dick Van Dyke working out on every machine," Springfield captioned his Instagram post. "Dick has lived in Malibu for about 30 years and is an awesome human being."

Van Dyke's flexing didn't stop with the gym equipment. Springfield continued, "I thought I was doing well at 76, but Dick got up from the chest press machine and did a little dance step before I left! Amazing!"

The sweet photo sees Van Dyke mean-mugging at the camera while Springfield smiles, and both of the performers are holding up their fists to show off their muscles.

Van Dyke is no stranger to proving that age is just a number when it comes to health and fitness. In 2021, he showed off his at-home workout routine while chatting with CBS *This Morning*.

"I'm 95, and a lot of my friends won't do these," he said, while doing crunches. "So all you old guys out there, listen to me, I'm telling you: You can keep going for a long [time] — I'm still dancing! And singing!"

Outside of fitness, Van Dyke is taking special care to look after his health. Over the summer, the *Mary Poppins* star pulled out of an event at the Arlene & Dick Van Dyke Theater at Malibu High School due to illness, while his wife Arlene Silver shared that her husband just wasn't up for it that day.

"When you're 99-and-a-half years old, you have good days and bad days," Silver said at the time. "And, unfortunately, today is not a good day for him, and he's sick that he can't be here."

That said, Van Dyke participated in plenty of other festivities pegged to Vandy Camp, the carnival-meets-convention-like event that he runs each year with his wife. At an April event, he happily danced in his seat and even took center stage to perform a collection of tunes from his decades-long repertoire — including the theme for *The* *Dick Van Dyke Show *and a sing-along version of *Mary Poppins'* beloved tongue twister, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."

As for Springfield, the rocker has been candid about his own exercise routine, at one point describing himself as a "whore" for the gym.

"I exercise every day, and every time I play with my band, it is a two-hour aerobic workout," Springfield told PEOPLE in February, ahead of embarking on his I Want My '80s tour. "We're Planet Fitness whores. Planet Fitness is like the Holiday Inn of workout places — they're all the same, every place you go."
