Please don't ask Elizabeth Olsen about Wanda Maximoff's fate in *Marvel Zombies*— she has no idea what you're talking about.
The actress who has played the MCU's Scarlet Witch across six theatrical releases and her own show recently made her grand return to the role… sort of. Olsen's voice can be heard amongst the zombified Avengers in the *Marvel Zombies*, the TV-MA-rated animated series that hit Disney+ earlier this week. But at an L.A. Comic Con panel over the weekend, Olsen admitted that she has absolutely no recollection of the project that she lent her voice to.
"I truly recorded that years ago. I can't remember *anything*," Olsen said in fan-recorded footage of the panel, after getting a question about her Scarlet Witch return. "I can't remember anything. I need to watch it. I have no idea in *Marvel Zombies*, what happens."

But just mentioning the show appeared to bring a few memories back to Olsen who continued, "It's my voice. I did it in my house." Looking concerned, she added, "I wasn't even in an office space. This must have been 2020, 2021? Why was I working in my house and not in a studio?!"
She ultimately concluded, "I really have no idea what it was like. I'm so sorry."
Olsen is, of course, not the first star to suffer MCU-related memory loss: Gwyneth Paltrow once needed a very adamant reminder from Jon Favreau to convince her that she was, in fact, in a *Spider-Man* movie. And since that 2019 incident, the saga has become even more sprawling.

To date, Olsen has played the character of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in six MCU films, beginning with 2014's *Captain America: The Winter Soldier*. She later led the Disney+ series *WandaVision* and made her last live-action appearance in 2022's *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness*, where she seemingly sacrificed herself in order to destroy the Darkhold and Mount Wundagore in all universes.
Though Olsen's memory is foggy, she can definitely be heard in *Marvel Zombies*, the four-episode TV event that explores an alternate universe, where the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie plague, prompting a desperate group of survivors to risk life and limb to save the world by defeating the super-powered undead.
Olsen isn't the only Marvel star reprising a big role. The series also includes the voices of Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Hailee Steinfeld, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani, and Dominique Thorne.

As for whether this is the last fans will see (or hear) of Scarlet Witch, her last appearance seemed to mark the end of her run in MCU canon — not that resurrection or the power of alternate dimensions is ever out of the question. But Olsen has maintained that she won't star in either *Avengers: Doomsday* nor *Avengers: Secret Wars, *and* *previously made a point of saying that she doesn't miss her Marvel role.

"I think it's been almost 10 years of playing her," she said in 2023. "And I've loved it. And I think the reason why I am not calling [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige every day with ideas is because I'm really proud of what we were able to do."
