Nicole Kidman is ending her marriage to Keith Urban.

The *Moulin Rouge* actress has filed for divorce from the "Blue Ain't Your Color" musician, PEOPLE reports.

The news comes just a day after the couple's separation was confirmed by PEOPLE on Monday. A source told the outlet that Kidman "didn't want this," adding that the actress "has been fighting to save the marriage."

Kidman and Urban tied the knot in June 2006 after meeting the year prior. They share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Kidman was previously married to her *Days of Thunder* costar Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001.

The couple spent the summer pursuing their own creative endeavors, PEOPLE reported, as Kidman was filming *Practical Magic 2* in London while Urban was on his High and Alive World Tour in support of his 2024 album *High*. Kidman confirmed that the fantasy sequel, which also stars Sandra Bullock, had wrapped filming earlier this month.

Kidman celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary on June 25 with an Instagram post showing the actress resting her head on her husband's shoulders in a dressing room. "Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️," she captioned the post.

In July, Urban abruptly disconnected from a radio interview in Australia after being asked a question about Kidman's love scenes with Zac Efron in her film *A Family Affair*. A representative for the singer declined to comment on the matter when contacted by EW at the time, though an unnamed source told PEOPLE that Urban "did not hang up, period," and noted that "He doesn't host his Zoom interviews. This is a complete nothingburger."

TMZ previously reported that Urban moved out of the couple's shared home in Nashville and found his own residence in the same city.

Kidman and Urban first met at the G'Day USA gala in Los Angeles in 2005. During a 2017 appearance on *The Ellen DeGeneres Show*, the *To Die For* actress recalled being immediately smitten with the singer, but revealed that Urban took a little while to contact her after they first crossed paths. "I had such a crush on him, and he wasn't interested in me. It's true!" Kidman said on the show. "He didn't call me for four months."

The Australian couple finally confirmed their engagement to PEOPLE in May 2006, and Kidman and Urban ultimately wed the following month in a candlelit ceremony at St. Patrick's Estate in Manly, a suburb of Sydney.

Kidman currently has a number of projects in the works, including the Apple TV+ series *Margo's Got Money Troubles*, which will reunite her with her *The Beguiled* costar Elle Fanning and *Big Little Lies* creator David E. Kelley, as well as the Prime Video series *Scarpetta*, which will costar Jamie Lee Curtis.

Meanwhile, Urban has 15 more shows scheduled on his High and Alive World Tour. He will next perform in Hershey, Penn., on Thursday.**
