A fire alarm inside the ABC studio in New York City went off Tuesday morning during a live interview with the cast, interrupting cohosts Lara Spencer and Sam Champion as they interviewed the cast of the popular reality series.
"That's so nice that you all have each other," Spencer said (watch in the video above) at the top of the interview, before she attempted to move on to another point when the studio's fire alarm sounded overhead.

** has reached out to a representative for *GMA* at ABC for comment.
While there was no official word on whether or not a fire broke out on set, Tuesday's incident recalled an April 2024 grease fire at ABC Studios on the set of the *Tamron Hall *talk show.**
That development led to the evacuation of Hall's staff, after burned food led to the program being unable "to air the show that was scheduled today," the host said at the top of the show, confirming, "we had a grease fire in our kitchen."

As a result, the ladies of *The View* also had to evacuate their neighboring studio.
"This morning, we had to evacuate the studio because there was a fire that we did not start. We don't know how it started, we don't know what started it," moderator Whoopi Goldberg told the show's audience that day. Ana Navarro added, "I was coming in from the airport and it was a Hot Topics meeting, so I pressed the Zoom link thinking I'd find all of you on the Zoom, and it was dark, empty, and [an] alarm [going off], flashing lights. I thought, *holy hell*!"
