On the first night aboard, Lo meets a mysterious woman who is staying in cabin 10. The encounter is pretty normal, but later that night, Lo awakens to the sound of a splash and sees who she believes is the same woman falling overboard.

Lo notifies the ship's security chief, Sigrid (Amanda Collin), who initiates an investigation into the incident. But things don't add up; per Sigrid, every guest has been accounted for. Plus, the captain tells Lo that the passenger assigned to cabin 10 backed out days before departure.

Still, Lo can't forget what she saw, so she continues to look into it with the help of her ex-boyfriend, a photographer named Ben (David Ajala). When she spots the same woman in one of Ben's old photos from one of Richard's parties, Lo becomes convinced that something is up.

Her search grows more dangerous when she finds strands of hair in the shower drain of cabin 10. And later, someone writes "STOP" on the mirror in her room. It gets worse when that same person shoves Lo into the yacht pool, trapping her beneath the cover in an effort to drown her.

Yet even after these attacks, everyone continues to insist that Lo is making things up.

At first, it appears that the mystery surrounding the woman in cabin 10 will remain unresolved, but Lo eventually discovers that the answer has been right in front of her all along.

Earlier in the movie, Lo meets with Anne, who asks her to go over the speech she intends to give at the gala. In it, Anne confesses her desire to donate all of her riches to charity as a way of "settling up" and "putting back" what she and Richard have "taken out" all these years.

When Lo sees Anne again the next day, something feels off. Anne emphasizes how the medication she's on takes a toll on her. This comes as a surprise to Lo, who was told by Anne during their initial meeting that she'd stopped taking medication. As it turns out, this is *not* Anne.

The *real* Anne has been murdered. That's who Lo saw fall overboard. Richard replaced his wife with Carrie (Gitte Witt), the woman in cabin 10.

Of course, Richard was behind the whole thing. Desperate to secure his wife's money, he used facial recognition software to track down Carrie, who closely resembles Anne. He convinced her to pose as Anne and rewrite Anne's will to sign everything over to him.

When Lo learns the truth, Carrie locks her in a cabin below deck. Carrie begs Lo to drop it before things get worse. Lo refuses, telling Carrie that Richard is using her. Once she signs the papers, Lo warns, Richard will kill her, especially since she saw him murder Anne.

What happens at the end of The Woman in Cabin 10?

Not knowing Lo is below deck, Richard sends his righthand man, Dr. Mehta (Art Malik), to tear the yacht apart until he finds her.

Ben begins to piece together the mystery and concludes that Richard's "Lo's just not feeling well" excuse doesn't make any sense. When Richard and the rest of the guests depart the ship for the gala, Ben stays behind to check things out. He finds Lo moments before Mehta can dispatch her, but Mehta kills him.

Lo escapes by jumping off the boat and swimming to shore. She crashes the gala and delivers Anne's speech herself, the one announcing the donation of her entire estate to charity. Richard tries to save face, claiming Lo made it all up, but Carrie (still posing as Anne) steps forward and tells everyone it's the truth.

Richard grabs Carrie, holds her at knifepoint, and flees toward the water. Sigrid hunts him down and shoots him in the shoulder, but Lo finishes the job by knocking him out before he can get away.

In the end, Anne's money goes to charity, and Lo writes a story about the woman in cabin 10. The final moments see Lo receive a video message from Carrie and her daughter, inviting her to come visit them.
