One of Mark Consuelos' medical appointments turned into an impromptu celebrity meet-and-greet — all while the *Live With Kelly & Mark* cohost and *All My Children* actor was in his underwear.

The 54-year-old and his *Live* cohost and spouse Kelly Ripa reflected on the comical moment during Thursday's broadcast as part of a larger conversation about sports-related injuries.

"When you first acquired Campobasso, you went out there and you were playing kick-around with the team," Ripa recalled, referencing her and Consuelos' acquisition of an Italian soccer team (an endeavor chronicled in their ESPN docuseries *Running With the Wolves*).

Consuelos noted that he "took a penalty kick" and pulled his quad muscle, leading to an exam with the team doctor.

"He goes into the trainer's facility to see the doctor to deal with his quad. He's in his underpants," Ripa remembered. "The doctor is like, 'Will you meet my wife and children?' And Mark is like, 'Of course!'"

Ripa then said that "the doctor throws open the door, and in walks his wife and teenage girls, because they watch *Riverdale*, so they're like, all piling in while Mark's in his underpants," the star said through laughter.

She added that "Mark thought, like, later on, after the exam," and a chuckling Consuelos noted that the request "got lost in translation."

On the topic of Consuelos in his underwear, Ripa has broached the subject on the air in the past.

During a November 2024 broadcast, Ripa teased an unreleased image from her husband's latest modeling campaign, which saw him posing for the Stuart Weitzman shoes in very, *very* little clothing.

"I got ahold of some of the photos from the photoshoot. Would you like to see? Believe it or not, this man is selling shoes. That's right, shoes!" Ripa joked on the air.
