It's hard to pick what's more exciting about *Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu*, which just dropped a first trailer on Monday morning: a first look at Sigourney Weaver in the galaxy far, far away...or little Baby Yoda looking through a little baby telescope!
At the last Star Wars Celebration event, held in Japan earlier this April, the icon from *Alien* and *Avatar* got up on stage to tease a little about her character, Colonel Ward, described as a fighter pilot.
"She came up in the Rebellion and now she's trying to protect the New Republic and I believe is completely committed to what she does, has had the good sense to hire Mandalorian and this side kick, and I'm gonna find out if they're as good as they say," she said at the time. "I'm counting on it!"

Now we get to see her in full glory, though images previously leaked out from the Star Wars Celebration room. We also seemingly get a glimpse, if not a full-on look, at *The Bear* star Jeremy Allen White as Jabba the Hutt's son, Rotta, who throws up his arms in a crowded arena.
"The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy," a description for *Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu* reads. "As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu."

The trailer already gives you an idea of the memes that will spawn from this movie, between Grogu using that telescope, summoning a bowl of chips with the Force, riding on a mini speeder with a bunch of Babu Friks, or eating space popcorn at a sporting event with dad.
*Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu* will release in theaters May 22, 2026. Watch the trailer above.
