Comedy Central won't be airing the *South Park *episode parodying Charlie Kirk, following the conservative commentator's Wednesday death in a college campus shooting.
Hours after Kirk was killed during a campus event at Utah Valley University, fans noticed that a rerun of the season 27 episode, "Got a Nut," did not air as scheduled on the broadcast network. The episode sees main character Eric Cartman embody Kirk's "Prove Me Wrong" persona.
** has since learned that Comedy Central will not be airing the episode in linear rotation, though it remains available to stream on demand and on Paramount+.
Representatives for *South Park *and Paramount's Comedy Central declined to comment.

'South Park' parodies Charlie Kirk.
The mockery, tame by *South Park *standards, involves Cartman following in the footsteps of Clyde Donovan, upon learning that his classmate has launched a right-wing podcast where he hawks fake supplements and argues with young liberals to make easy money. When Donovan achieves national attention, Cartman gets a haircut — emulating Kirk — and starts his own debate channel in an effort to win the Charlie Kirk Award for Young Masterdebaters. He ultimately loses to Donovan, enraging him further.
After the episode aired on Aug. 6, Kirk celebrated the satire, sharing that he had been a longtime fan of the show.

"They're going to obviously make fun of me ... but I think it's kind of funny and it kind of goes to show the cultural impact and the resonance that our movement has been able to achieve," he told Fox News. "So I look at this as a badge of honor."
He added, "We as conservatives need to be able to take a joke, right? We shouldn't take ourselves so seriously. That's something that the left has always done to great detriment to themselves and their movement."
Kirk later shared a snippet of the episode to TikTok, describing the parody as "hilarious." He also briefly changed his profile pic to Cartman on YouTube.
The Kirk spoof marked one of many *South Park *parodies throughout the season to target the Trump administration and MAGA activists. The same episode also took aim at President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

On Sep. 10, Kirk was shot in the neck during the first stop of his America Comeback Tour. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at age 31. As the executive director of Turning Point USA, Kirk had emerged in recent years as an influential right-wing media pundit after founding the organization at 18. He became a frequent Fox News guest and a staple on college campuses, hosting events where he manned a "prove me wrong" booth and invited audience members to debate political ideals with him onstage.

Kirk was a firm supporter of President Donald Trump, who announced Kirk's death.
"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead," President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social on Wednesday afternoon. "No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us."
The president has since announced that he will be awarding the late conservative commentator with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
