Zoë Kravitz landed herself in one very awkward situation after accidentally dissing her *Caught Stealing* costar Austin Butler straight to his face. **
During a recent installment of *Vanity Fair*'s "Lie Detector" interview series, Butler asked Kravitz, a self-described *Sex and the City *super-fan, to choose which of its spinoff shows was better: its young adult prequel,* The Carrie Diaries*,* *or its recently wrapped HBO Max sequel, *And Just Like That. ***
"Neither," Kravitz deadpanned. "Leave that show alone. Everybody just stop."

At which point, Butler, who starred in both seasons of *The Carrie Diaries*, casually chucked a few of the papers he was holding behind him, signaling that Kravitz had disrupted the game somehow.
"Okay, all right, so then I'm gonna throw this guy out," he said as he began to laugh. "And this guy out."
When Kravitz asked what the pieces of paper were, he replied, "Two pictures of me."

The move stopped Kravitz dead in her tracks. "Oh no, are you on that show?" she asked, to which Butler answered, "Yeah, I was in *The Carrie Diaries.*"**
Kravitz quietly lowered her head in shame. "Okay, sorry," she said. "Didn't know that."

To verify Kravitz's claim, Butler then turned to the individual conducting the lie detector test, who confirmed that Kravitz was being "truthful" about not knowing about his involvement in the series.
"Oops," she replied.**
Butler starred as Carrie's love interest Sebastian Kydd on the teen dramedy, which aired on the CW for two seasons, from 2013 until 2014. The prequel followed Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) as she navigated high school, a writing career, and relationships while living in New York City in the 1980s. **
Butler went on to ask Kravitz if she was relieved that the show's sequel* And Just Like That *has officially come to an end after three seasons.
"I feel mixed feelings about it," she confessed.
He followed up the question by asking her to share her favorite "batshit plotline" from that series.
"'Favorite' is a word I don't think I can use for that show," Kravitz said. "There are some plotlines that confused me more than others. There were plotlines that made me more upset than others. Like the window! What was up with the window?"
Kravitz went on to explain the premise of a season 3 episode in which Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) got a surprise visit from her long-distance beau, Aidan (John Corbett), who accidentally breaks one of her fancy vintage windows and then must hunt for a proper, period-appropriate replacement. **
"And then the whole episode was about replacing the glass for the window," she said, groaning. "And I'm just…"**
"I liked Aidan," Butler said.
To which Kravitz replied, "You don't anymore," referring to his presence on *And Just Like That,* which many fans loathed.**
