Tamar Braxton says she's recovering from a near-fatal experience.

The "Let Me Know" singer shared a post on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday detailing a terrifying incident that occurred over the weekend. "I almost died Sunday," Braxton wrote. "I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury. As the days go by the worse it is."

The *Braxton Family Values* star said she fractured her nose and "lost some teeth" in the incident. She also indicated that she is struggling with mobility, and that she doesn't understand what caused her injuries.

"I don't even know what happened to me," she said. "The way l look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins.. pray for me for real."

Braxton also stated that it was challenging to compose her brief message about her current circumstances. "I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can't even really talk anymore," she wrote. "I'm so weak."

Braxton previously feared for her safety after an alleged car burglary at her home in 2023. "I got robbed. At home. I'm not safe anywhere," she said on Instagram at the time. "I had a lot in my car cause I don't live anywhere cause I'm not safe anywhere or with anyone."

The singer has experienced a number of health issues in the past. In 2022, Braxton was hospitalized for a serious case of the flu. "Y'all, I have the FLU and let me tell [you] it's worse than Covid in my opinion," she wrote on Instagram at the time, per *The Independent*. "I'm on five different medications… please be careful. I wasn't around a lot of people and have NO IDEA where it came from."

Braxton also confirmed that she survived a suicide attempt in 2020. "Mental illness is real," she wrote at the time, according to PEOPLE. "We have to normalize acknowledging it and stop associating it with shame and humiliation."

The singer also dropped out of competing on *Dancing With the Stars* in 2015 after being hospitalized for blood clots in her lungs.
