Shaquille O'Neal's Range Rover, worth $180,000, was reportedly stolen while being transported to Louisiana, according to multiple reports

O'Neal had the vehicle customized to fit his 7-ft.-1-in. frame, as he has done to his cars in the past

The Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office told TMZ the investigation is "still ongoing" and authorities believe a hack may have helped the thieves steal O'Neal's car

Shaquille O'Neal's brand new Range Rover was stolen in transit, according to multiple reports.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, an initial report from Page Six said that the former NBA star's car, worth $180,000, had "gone missing" after it's driver's seat was customized to accommodate to 7-foot-1 athlete.

Later in the day, TMZ Sports reported the same, adding that the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office confirmed the report and said, "Preliminary information suggests that an unauthorized individual or company may have taken possession of the vehicle under false pretenses."

O'Neal's car was reportedly being transported from Georgia to Louisiana by Effortless Motors when the theft occurred, per both outlets, and authorities believe a digital hack of the car transport company's data helped the thieves nab the vehicle.

The sheriff's office told TMZ, "Further inquiries revealed that a tow truck registered to Griffin Wrecker Service LLC, bearing Georgia tag YIW241, was involved in transporting the vehicle to an address in Atlanta. The person believed to have coordinated the tow has not yet been fully identified."

O'Neal's car was reportedly picked up on Monday, Oct. 20 for transport, but was never delivered to its intended destination, and now Effortless Motors is offering a $10,000 reward, per Page Six. The outlet also said O'Neal is cooperating with police to help locate the vehicle.

The investigation is reportedly ongoing, per TMZ.

In December 2024, O'Neal — who also recently refurbished the car his late teammate Kobe Bryant drove in high school as a gift to Bryant's parents — had West Coast Customs customize his Lucid Air to fit his large frame, just as he did to his Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

The NBA great's collection spans way beyond that, though. On an episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq last year, O'Neal revealed that he owns 40 cars.

"I have 40 cars and I don't know why. And I got five houses, I don't know why," he shared.
