Emily Ann Roberts dodged a wardrobe malfunction while on tour
Wearing a cute "bam girl outfit," the country singer was on stage when one of her top's clasps popped open
Roberts proceeded to finish the 90-minute show in a pink sweatshirt, which she said was "hot"
Emily Ann Roberts narrowly dodged a wardrobe malfunction during a sold-out show.
The country singer, 27, took to TikTok to share her "worst nightmare" — her show outfit coming undone in the middle of a concert. In the video, Roberts explained what happened and how she fixed it without missing a beat of the remaining 90 minutes in her set.
Roberts intended to sport a cutout peplum top and matching wide-leg pants, both with pink and metallic green designs throughout. All dolled up for her show, Roberts said she was ready to have a good time on stage.
"There I was, just two songs in, just feeling myself in this bam girl outfit," Roberts said. "I have fancy pants on and everything!"
"It's pretty cute, right? Well, it's held together by three little flimsy snags," Roberts continued, pointing to the three sequined clasps at the front of her top. She gave an embarassed grin before adding, "And one snag decided to pop open."
Thankfully, she "made it through the song," Roberts said. Between songs, she was able to refasten the clasps, at which time she yelled to her husband off stage to bring her a sweatshirt.
Roberts reenacted what she had to do on stage: she turned around so her front wasn't visible, slipped the pink crewneck sweatshirt over her head and tried her best to get it over her voluminous top.
"And for the rest of my 90-minute show, I literally sang like this," Roberts said. "Hot, right? That's how I felt. Hot."
In the post's caption, she wrote, "It was the sweatshirt or extreme anxiety for 90 mins soooo I did what I had to do 🫣."
