Sabrina Impacciatore is reflecting on an awkward encounter with her celebrity crush.

The *White Lotus* actress discussed her introduction to Jason Momoa during an interview with Jimmy Fallon on *The Tonight Show*.

"It's so terrible what I did with Jason Momoa," Impacciatore said, explaining that she plays the *Aquaman* star's girlfriend in Julian Schnabel's *In the Hand of Dante*. "He's very tall and I'm very small, and I was very anxious to meet him. I think he's, apart from my boyfriend, the hottest man on the planet."

The actress said she was "so, so emotional" in anticipation of meeting Momoa, and resolved to hide her attraction to him. "I'm not going to let him understand that I find him so sexy, so I will behave like it's cool, I'm very cool," she recalled. "And so I met him and he hugged me, he launched me like this."

Impacciatore then mimed lifting a person above her shoulders, suggesting that Momoa lifted her multiple feet off the ground during their introductory embrace.

"And then I said, 'Jason, I'm so sorry I'm so small,'" the actress remembered. "And he said, 'Don't worry, don't worry. You are perfect. You make me think about my ex.'"

Impacciatore wanted to reciprocate Momoa's sentiment. "So I thought, 'Okay, I'm going to tell him the same thing, so I make him feel comfortable,'" she recalled. "And I say, 'Oh my gosh, like me! You make me think about my sex.'"

The actress was mortified by the Freudian slip. "I said 'Sex,'" she repeated. "Because my brain is my worst enemy."

*In the Hand of Dante* premiered at the Venice International Film Festival on Wednesday. The film also stars Oscar Isaac, Gal Gadot, Gerard Butler, John Malkovich, Al Pacino, and Martin Scorsese.

Momoa isn't the only superstar on the receiving end of Impacciatore's gushing. The actress, who is among the ensemble of Peacock's *The Office* follow-up *The Paper*, told ** that she was ecstatic to meet Steve Carell backstage at his production of *Uncle Vanya* on Broadway.

"I went to see the show. I went to the green room. I waited for him," she remembered. "He came out. I was shaking. I said, 'I'm Sabrina, can you bless me?' I needed his blessing! He was the sweetest. He was so encouraging. He said, 'These people are brilliant. You are going to have the best experience of your life. You're going to be great.' He was giving me confidence. I will never forget that."****Despite her eventual blessing from Carell, Impacciatore was still terrified to participate in the show. "Every single day of shooting, I thought, 'They're going to kick me out.' I was always on edge," the actress said. "The first days, I had a very hard time. I couldn't understand the other actors. They were talking very fast. I thought, 'How can I survive?'"

*The Paper* premieres on Peacock on Thursday, Sept. 4.
