The James Gunn-dubbed "Superman Saga" continues.
After the success of *Superman*, starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, the writer/director/DC Studios co-head announced over social media on Wednesday that the follow-up will be titled *Man of Tomorrow*. The film will officially open in theaters July 9, 2027.
Gunn also shared a comic book image of Lex Luthor (played in *Superman* by Nicholas Hoult) now in his classic green mech suit alongside Kal-El/Clark Kent.
Gunn has been teasing the next installment, telling fans over the past few weeks that he has a movie in mind that's not quite traditional sequel to *Superman*, but that the character of Superman would return in it. He has since referred to this collection of DC movies as the Superman Saga, which includes next year's *Supergirl*.
Starring Milly Alcock, that film will release in theaters on June 26, 2026.
Corenswet and Hoult also shared respective posts on social media with various comic imagery of their characters, confirming their returns to their established roles.
