Sheinelle Jones has set her return to Studio 1A.

The cohost of *Today*'s third hour will return to work this Friday, following a lengthy absence which began in mid-December of last year. In May, Sheinelle's husband of 17 years, Uche Ojeh, died at the age of 45 after a battle with brain cancer.

Jones will mark her return with a "deeply personal interview" with fellow *Today* anchor Savannah Guthrie, per Today.com. The mother of three will open up about how her family is handling the grief of Ojeh, why she calls her experience a "beautiful nightmare," and her message of hope for anyone facing their own struggles.

In January, Jones posted a note clearing up her absence to Instagram, which was read by Guthrie on the the morning show.

The anchor wrote that she was "taking time to deal with a family health matter," and added of her followers, "it's not lost on me how lucky I am to have not only the support of my *Today Show* family, but to also have all of you. Your kindness means so much to me. I'll see you soon."

Then, in May, the *Today* crew came together to share the tragic news that Ojeh had died from an aggressive form of brain cancer and pay tribute to the late managing partner at UAO Consulting.

Jones and Ojeh, whose full name was Uchechukwuka Adenola Ojeh, were college sweethearts who first met at Northwestern University in the late '90s when she, then a freshman, offered to show him, a visiting high school senior, around campus. The couple married in Jones' hometown of Philadelphia in 2007, and went on to welcome three children: son Kayin, 15, and fraternal twins Clara and Uche, 12.

Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Carson Daly, Dylan Dreyer, and Jenna Bush Hager came together onscreen to honor Ojeh as well as the courageous battle he and his wife fought after his diagnosis.**

"[Ojeh] was [Jones'] perfect match, a man who's joyful spirit and quiet strength complemented Sheinelle in every way," Guthrie said in a pre-recorded video montage dedicated to Ojeh. "Uche was the kind of person who brought life, warmth, and joy to every room."

Guthrie praised Jones, 47, for being "so strong" throughout her husbands's struggle with the disease, adding, "As was Uche."

Hager told viewers that Jones had "found the grace in the grief, which is not easy," saying she "completely inspired" her cohosts.**

"There are no words for the pain that we feel for Sheinelle and their three young children," said Guthrie. "Uche was an incredible person. We all loved him … We just want to say, Sheinelle, Kayin, Uche, and Clara, and the Ojeh family: We are with you. We love you. You are our family, and we're just sending all of our love to you right now."

While Jones hasn't released a formal statement about her husband's death, she shared the video of her cohosts' message on Instagram with the caption: "Thank you for all of your love and support. ❤️"

The *Today *show's Instagram account responded with, "We love you, Sheinelle. 🧡"
