*Robin Hood *rides again.
Newcomer Jack Patten (*NCIS: Sydney*) debuts as the famed arrow-slinging outlaw in **'s exclusive first look at the full-length trailer for the upcoming MGM+ series. *Game of Thrones* and *The Lord of the Rings* alum Sean Bean also arrives in *Robin Hood* as the Sheriff of Nottingham, while *Gladiator* and *Wonder Woman* star Connie Nielsen plays Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine.
It's the classic folktale of the man who stole from the rich and gave to the poor for a modern audience. Playing some of the more familiar roles are Lauren McQueen (*Outlander: Blood of My Blood*) as Marian, Angus Castle-Doughty (*Shadow and Bone*) as Friar Tuck, and Marcus Fraser (*Foundation*) as Little John.

Lydia Peckham (*Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes*) also plays Priscilla of Nottingham, the sheriff's daughter, while Steven Waddington (*Slow Horses*) plays the Earl of Huntingdon.
Set after the Norman invasion of England, Rob (Patten) witnesses the execution of his father, a Saxon forester, which incites him to rebel.
"Let's be thieves with a purpose," he says to rally the troops.
*Robin Hood* is also the love story of Rob and Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord. The two unite for the same cause. He leads a band of rebel outlaws to execute missions against the crown, and Marian infiltrates the court.
