"Since completing the project," however, "new information has come to light that makes it impossible for me to reconcile my values with Sarah Ferguson's behavior, which I believe is inexcusable," Dormer said. "For that reason, I will not be taking part in the promotion of the project."

Premiering sometime this year, the four-part British drama traces the true story of Jane Andrews (played by Mia McKenna-Bruce), a former royal dresser and aide to Ferguson who was convicted of murdering her former partner Thomas Cressman (Ed Speleers) in 2001. She was released from prison in 2019.
Multiple charities have dropped Ferguson, the ex-wife of the embattled Prince Andrew, as a patron or ambassador in the wake of the leaked correspondence from 2011, in which the Duchess of York called Epstein — the convicted sex offender charged with sex trafficking of minors and accused of sexually abusing dozens of underaged girls — a "generous and supreme friend" after she had publicly distanced himself from Epstein following the allegations against him.
A spokesperson for the duchess maintained that the email was sent to counter a threat Epstein had made to sue Ferguson for defamation.
"This email was sent in the context of advice the duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats," her spokesperson said following the leakage of the email, per the BBC.
