From *Zoolander* to *Severance, *Ben Stiller has had an illustrious career. Still, his favorite film experience may be a surprise to many fans.

Stiller recently stopped by *The Prof G Pod With Scott Galloway *to discuss the breakthroughs, hits, and flops throughout his time in Hollywood. He said he never enters a project expecting it to be "the one."

The only exception to this rule? The lesser-known Brat Pack film, 1988's *Fresh Horses. *

"I was like, 'Oh man, I'm going to be in the Brat Pack. I'm going to be in the movies, just, this is it. This is my moment,'" he said.

*Fresh Horses* reunited *Pretty in Pink *stars Molly Ringwald and Andrew McCarthy. It follows college senior Matt (McCarthy), who breaks off his engagement to be with Jewel (Ringwald), who he later realizes is already married to an abusive man. Stiller plays Matt's best friend Tipton in the film.

"The movie just tanked, but it was, literally to this day, my favorite experience ever making a movie," Stiller said.

The *Meet the Fockers* star said that the cast was a group of twenty-somethings "making a movie and having fun and hanging out and hooking up" for three months in Kentucky.

"It was the dream," he said.

*Fresh Horses* was one of Stiller's first roles. After that, the actor said he had a series of "small breaks," including a six-week stint on *Saturday Night Live *and his directorial debut with 1994's *Reality Bites.* Stiller said the first movie he was in that "really did well" was 1998's *There's Something About Mary.*
