Every new episode of *My Life with the Walter Boys* makes its messy love triangle a *little* bit messier, upping the emotional stakes between one girl and two *very *different brothers.

Based on Ali Novak's 2014 novel of the same name, the Netflix series follows Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez), a 15-year-old whose world is shattered when she loses her family in a car accident in New York City. She moves to the fictional town of Silver Falls in Colorado to live with her late mother's best friend, Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty), and her family.

As Jackie adjusts to her new life in the great wide open, she copes with grief and makes new friends. But things get complicated when she finds herself torn between two of the Walter boys: sweet bookworm Alex (Ashby Gentry) and enigmatic bad boy Cole (Noah LaLonde).

*My Life with the Walter Boys* was renewed for a second season in Dec. 2023, with the new episodes premiering this week on Netflix. Season 2 follows Jackie as she returns to Colorado after a summer in New York, where she's focused on mending her relationship with Alex and setting boundaries with Cole.

The returning cast includes Rodriguez, LaLonde, Gentry, Rafferty, and Marc Blucas, and will see a handful of new additions in Riele Downs and Jake Manley, among others.

Noah LaLonde rose to fame as Cole Walter, Danny's (Connor Stanhope) brooding twin on *My Life with the Walter Boys*. Once a star quarterback at Silver Falls High, Cole's future was derailed by a career-ending injury, leaving him to figure out who he is without football.

Outside the show, LaLonde has appeared in the slasher *Deer Camp '86* (2022) and an episode of *Criminal Minds* (2022).

The actor, a former hockey player, spoke with PEOPLE about how his past on the ice informed his performance as Cole. "The whole process with football was really what was the first push into making me understand where his head is at — because I had to address that in my own life when I stopped being a hockey player, that search for a new identity."

Speaking to season 2, LaLonde said that Cole is working on himself and "trying to be okay with being around the people and the things [related to football], and he's trying to get the feeling back."

Ashby Gentry appeared on *Are You Afraid of the Dark? *(2022) prior to joining the cast of *My Life with the Walter Boys*. Next, he'll star in the crime comedy *Mooch*.

Gentry stars as Alex, the kind and studious boy who's the polar opposite of Cole. In season 1, Alex falls for Jackie and even tells her he loves her, only for her to kiss his brother. Ouch.

Stanhope stars as Danny Walter on *My Life with the Walter Boys*, Cole's more mellow fraternal twin, who's dreaming of a future in acting.

According to Stanhope, stepping into Danny's shoes felt effortless. In a January 2024 interview, he said that not only do they share the same career goals, but their personalities align.

"We're also very similar in the way that we approach relationships with people or how we just navigate daily life," he continued. "I'm also fairly fly-on-the-wall-ish at times… so it wasn't hard to get into playing him. It felt pretty natural."

Sarah Rafferty made a name for herself as Donna Paulsen on *Suits *(2011–2019), a role she played for more than 130 episodes. These days, she co-hosts a rewatch podcast with Patrick J. Adams called *Sidebar*.

Rafferty plays Katherine Walter, a veterinarian, George's wife, and Jackie's legal guardian. Her performance earned the actress a Children's and Family Emmy Award nomination.

At the Women's Health Summit in Los Angeles this past May, Rafferty revealed she's committed to portraying Katherine as a real, imperfect mom.

On *My Life with the Walter Boys*, MacCormac steps into the role of Zach, who enters the scene like a shock to the system.

MacCormac has described him as someone who's "blunt," "confident," and unafraid to shake things up. "He's there to make waves," he said during an appearance on CP24. "He's not shy about going after what he wants."

Janet Kidder is likely best known for playing the formidable Osyraa on *Star Trek: Discovery* (2020–2021) and Ruvé Adams on *Arrow* (2015–2016). Kidder also had a brief part in Osgood Perkins' 2025 acclaimed horror-comedy *The Monkey*.

Kidder arrives in Silver Falls as Joanne Wagner, Grace's mom. Per Netflix, she's "a bit old-fashioned and resistant to change." Joanne is also a close friend of Katherine's, which complicates matters as tensions rise over George and Will's development plans in the town.

On Nov. 24, 2024, Kidder announced her casting on Instagram, adding that she "had a great time on the show."

Riele Downs as Maria

Downs joins the *My Life with the Walter Boys *cast as Maria, a flirtatious new face who cozies up to Alex.

Best known for *iZombie *(2018) and *The Order *(2019–2020), Jake Manley might also be familiar for his roles in in *Midway *(2019) and the Netflix rom-com *Holidate *(2020). He's currently got two thrillers on deck: *Do Not Enter* and *Find Your Friends*.

Manley portrays Wylder Holt, "a rising star among bronc riders under 25," per Netflix. "Wylder is a competitive force to be reckoned with who crosses paths with Alex."
