The ladies of *Yellowjackets* have one more season to try to make it home.
The acclaimed Showtime and Paramount+ thriller will end with its upcoming fourth season, series creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson said in a statement on Friday.

"After three incredible seasons, and great consideration, we're excited to announce that we will be bringing the story of *Yellowjackets* to its twisted conclusion in this fourth and final season," the pair wrote. "We've always known there would come a point when the story would tell us it wants to end, and it's our belief that our job — our responsibility — is to listen."
The statement continued, "Telling this emotional, wild, and deeply human story has been a profoundly meaningful experience and a true honor for us, and we're so very grateful to the brilliant cast, crew, and writers who have bravely gone on the journey with us to bring it to life. Most of all, we want to thank the fans who have stuck with us through every moment, mystery, and meal — the Hive is nothing without you!"
"We can't wait to share the final chapter with you and hope you find it...delicious," the pair concluded, wishing their fans "all the best."
The drama's third season premiered in February, with the Paramount+ hailing the April finale as its most-streamed episode yet. In its closing moments, teen Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) finally did it: She got the satellite phone to work and called for help. But that doesn't mean everyone's safe.

The episode also delivered the long-awaited answers to the series' opening scene. For seasons, fans debated the identity of both Pit Girl and the Antler Queen, and now we know that Mari (Alexa Barajas) was Pit Girl and Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) donned those very special — and very creepy — antlers.

And that's not all: While the teens might be about ready to leave the wilderness — or for some of them, might be forced to — the adults have found themselves once again embracing their old way of life. In the finale, just as adult Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) reminisces on what it was like to be queen, Taissa (Tawny Cypress) and Misty (Christina Ricci) decide it's time to put a stop to Shauna. Oh, and we should mention that Calie (Sarah Desjardins) killed Lottie (Simone Kessell).

With production on season 4 set to begin in 2026 and a writers room for the now-final season is open, that leaves all the questions about what the last chapter will feature.
Will the teens finally put the wilderness in their rearview? Fans will have to wait and see.**
