Sorry Eli Manning, but Hollywood isn't big enough for *two* Chad Powers — and Glen Powell isn't going anywhere.

** has an exclusive first look at Powell's guest appearance on *Eli's Places*, the ESPN series that served as the inspiration for the star's new Hulu comedy, *Chad Powers*.

For three seasons, *Eli's Places* has followed Manning as he travels around the country visiting college football programs. In season one of the show, the former NFL quarterback went undercover as a guy named "Chad Powers" and showed up at walk-on tryouts for Penn State's football program. His tryout didn't go great — but the bit did spawn an entirely new series starring Powell as a disgraced former college football star who disguises himself with prosthetics and joins the South Georgia Catfish football team.

In Wednesday's episode of *Eli's Places*, Manning learns that the Chad Powers character is getting his own show — and he immediately (and incorrectly) assumes that he'll be playing the starring role. Manning shows up on set in character as Chad Powers, only to discover that *another* Chad Powers — a.k.a. *Top Gun: Maverick* star Powell — cast himself in the lead role.**

"I created the character!" Manning protests. "You can't just remove the talent — when's that ever worked?" Powell points out that many famous characters — including James Bond and Batman — weren't played on-screen by their creators, but Manning still doesn't get it. "Ok, you're Roger Moore to my Sean Connery," he says. Offended, Powell snaps, "You take that back!" Watch the full clip above.

Making *Chad Powers *was "the most fun I've ever had doing anything," Powell told EW. In addition to making a football comedy, the actor says he and co-creator Michael Waldron wanted to explore "the nature of cancel culture, the nature of what it is like to be sort of tossed out by society, to have a special gift and to no longer be relevant to society, to feel more comfortable wearing a mask than to actually have your own face," he explained.

He called the resulting show "incredibly heartfelt and incredibly layered and nuanced and very present to everything that's going on in the world, and I think something that a lot of people would resonate with."

New episodes of *Eli's Places* drop every Wednesday on ESPN+.
