One day after announcing that she's pregnant, *The View* cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin has birthed a fresh criticism for the controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene into the world.

Whoopi Goldberg began Thursday's live show by introducing a Hot Topics chat about the ongoing government shutdown and a "very surprising voice of reason" who emerged amid Democrats and Republicans clashing instead of working together to reach an end to the ordeal.

The show then played a clip of various parties arguing amid the shutdown, with the footage ending with a recent CNN interview with Greene, the Georgia politician who urged, "Let's take off our Democrat jerseys, let's take off our Republican jerseys, and we should do something responsible for the American people and fix this."**

Later, at the Hot Topics table, Griffin — who previously worked for Donald Trump and Mike Pence — said "it's a dark day when Marjorie Taylor Greene is the voice of reason, but you know what they say about a blind squirrel."

The 36-year-old attempted to continue with her point, before Goldberg cut her off.

"No, wait, I've never heard what they say about a blind squirrel," the 69-year-old said, to which Griffin replied, "A blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then!"

The cohosts laughed as Joy Behar exclaimed, "I never heard that. What is that, something that pregnant women say?"

Griffin, who said she agreed with Greene's assessment, went on to explain her position by noting that "there's a million more" videos that show politicians squabbling, which disappoints her and makes her question their overall integrity when they're supposed to be advocating for the American people.

"The country is electing people who are going to Washington to become celebrities, influencers, and get cable news jobs, not to work for the American public," Griffin, who previously worked at the White House before resigning and landing a job on *The View*, continued.

The conservative continued, "I say, get back to work, hash this out over healthcare. I agree with Marjorie Taylor Greene, these are Republicans and Democrats that need these subsidies. Steve Bannon agrees with her, so I can see the president coming around."

Sara Haines jumped in to call Bannon "another blind squirrel."

Behar summed up the segment by joking, "I don't want [Greene] taking the seat on this. She can't get this job."
