Taylor Swift is shooting down a "shockingly offensive" theory about her career that has had her fans "panicking."
During her Monday appearance on *The Breakfast Show*, Swift opened up about making her 12th studio album, *The Life of a Showgirl*, to which host Scott Mills probed if it the new project was her final album. "I just saw some fans going, 'Well, she's going to get married and then she's going to have children and then she's going to be the last album,'" Mills added, to Swift's vehement objection.
"A shockingly offensive thing to say. That's not why people get married... so that they can quit their job," Swift replied.

The formerly self-proclaimed cat lady and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce revealed their engagement after two years of dating on Aug. 26. "The Fate of Ophelia" singer shared the news in an Instagram post that included a photo of Kelce down on one knee embracing her in a beautiful garden.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," Swift captioned the post, which also included a close-up shot of her diamond engagement ring. Swift's rep confirmed to* *at the time* *that the "hard rock" is an Old Mine Brilliant Cut designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.**

Considering her fans' enthusiastic response to the proposal news, Mills reasoned that "the fans were just panicking." Swift agreed, quipping that her fans "love to panic sometimes."
"But, it's like, I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music," she went on." That's the coolest thing about Travis, like, he is so passionate about what he does that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us. There's no point in time where he's going to be like, 'I'm really upset that you're still making music. The music thing that I signed up for, that I knew you love, I thought you were going to stop doing that.'"**
A smiling Swift added that, "it is the most fun thing in the world to be able to support each other, and the polarity of how different our jobs are."**
True to form, Swift included several songs about her fiancé in *The Life of a Showgirl, *including the eighth track, titled "Wi$h Li$t."
The song finds Swift reflecting on the big dreams and accolades that people hope to achieve within their lifetimes before revealing that all she really wants is to settle down and start a family with the person she loves.

"I just want you / Have a couple kids, got the whole block lookin' like you," she sings. "We tell the world to leave us thе f--- alone, and they do, wow / Got me drеamin' 'bout a driveway with a basketball hoop."**
Swift also predicted that Kelce would put a ring on it in the spicy, innuendo-filled song "Wood," writing, "Girls, I don't need to catch the bouquet / To know a hard rock is on the way."
And Kelce's birthstone, an opal, served as an inspiration for "Opalite," which Swift has said is Kelce's preferred track.
