- The cast and crew of *Everybody Loves Raymond* will celebrate the show's 30th anniversary with a reunion special in November.

- Ray Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Monica Horan, Madylin Sweeten, Sullivan Sweeten, and creator Phil Rosenthal will all participate.

- The special will also pay tribute to Doris Roberts, who died in 2016, and Peter Boyle, who died in 2006.

*Everybody Loves Raymond* has set a 30th anniversary reunion event — and the show will pay tribute to two of its late cast members.

CBS and Paramount+ will air *Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion* on Monday, Nov. 24. The 90-minute special will be hosted by Ray Romano, who led the show as Ray Barone, as well as series creator Phil Rosenthal, who has gained further recognition for his food travel shows *I'll Have What Phil's Having *and* Somebody Feed Phil*.

Participating cast members include Brad Garrett, who played Ray's brother Robert; Patricia Heaton, who portrayed Ray's wife Debra; Monica Horan, who played Robert's love interest Amy (and is married to Rosenthal in real life); Madylin Sweeten, who portrayed Ray and Debra's daughter Ally; and Sullivan Sweeten, who played Ray and Debra's son, Michael (and is Madilyn's real-life brother).

The special will pay tribute to Doris Roberts, who played Ray's mother Marie, and Peter Boyle, who played the protagonist's father, Frank. Roberts died at 90 following a stroke in 2016, while Boyle died at 72 after battling multiple myeloma and heart disease in 2006.

Kevin James thought pal Ray Romano's sitcom had no chance because he's so 'low-energy'

A press release stated that "cast, crew and special guests will share heartfelt reflections on how this dynamic duo redefined the roles of interfering mother-in-law and couch-potato dad into lovable pillars of the Barone family," adding that Roberts and Boyle were "the emotional anchors of the series."

The special, which will be filmed in a recreated version of the Barones' living room, will also feature "never-before-seen outtakes" as well as "commentary from the cast on how they became one of America's most beloved families."

Not mentioned in the press release was Sawyer Sweeten, the actor who played Ray and Debra's other son Geoffrey. Sawyer, who was the real-life brother of Madylin and Sullivan's twin, died by suicide at age 19 in 2015.

*Everybody Loves Raymond* ran for 210 episodes across nine seasons on CBS from 1996 to 2005. The show was nominated for 69 Primetime Emmy Awards, ultimately winning 15, including multiple wins each for Roberts, Garrett, and Heaton.

Romano and Garrett recently reunited on the Emmys stage to present the award for Outstanding Comedy Series, which their own show won for its seventh season in 2003 and its ninth and final season in 2005. However, despite his continuing comedic chemistry with his former onscreen brother, Romano shot down any hope of a potential *Raymond* revival earlier this year.

"Peter and Doris and one of the kids, they're no longer with us," Romano said on the red carpet of a 30th anniversary celebration at New York's Paley Museum in June. "We're all heartbroken. They're a big part of the show, the dynamic."

Heaton, who was also at the event, added, "To try to do it again without the cast members that we've lost would be a disservice to the show."
