*South Park* creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are apologizing after missing the deadline for tonight's planned new episode, meaning fans will have to wait another week to check in on their favorite foul-mouthed Comedy Central characters.
"Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don't get it done," Parker and Stone said in a statement. "This one's on us. We didn't get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!"
The remaining episodes of season 27 are scheduled to air on the following dates: Oct. 15, Oct. 29, Nov. 12, and Nov. 26, with the season finale set for Dec. 10. All episodes will air in the regular 10 p.m. ET/PT time slot.

The move follows the season's delayed premiere amid reported issues related to streaming rights for the series, which led to Stone and Parker releasing a profane statement slamming Comedy Central's parent company, Paramount, for its controversial behind-the-scenes merger with producer David Ellison's Skydance.
"In response to the press release from Comedy Central about the change in premiere date for *South Park*, Trey Parker and Matt Stone said, 'This merger is a s---show and it's f---ing up *South Park*," reads a post shared on the show's official X account in July.
Though they didn't explain how or why the parent company is impacting the delay, the pair added, "We are at the studio working on new episodes and we hope the fans get to see them somehow."**
Season 27 eventually premiered on July 23, shifting from a weekly to a biweekly schedule. So far, only four episodes of the season have aired, which have been breaking ratings records.
Since its premiere, the season has taken multiple shots at President Donald Trump, doing everything from depicting him with a tiny animated penis to having him attempt to seduce Satan and impregnate him. Episodes have also targeted Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, the dangers (and annoyances) of A.I., tariffs, and, of course, Labubus.
Trump's team released a statement to ** criticizing *South Park *after the season's premiere.

"The left's hypocrisy truly has no end — for years they have come after *South Park* for what they labeled as 'offense' content, but suddenly they are praising the show," White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told EW via email, adding that "just like the creators of *South Park*, the left has no authentic or original content" to premiere.
"This show hasn't been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention," his statement continued. "President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country's history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump's hot streak."

Shortly thereafter, Parker and Stone appeared on stage at 2025's San Diego Comic-Con, where they addressed the White House's reaction to the episode.
"We're terribly sorry," Parker deadpanned, before dropping his microphone to his lap and letting a prolonged silence settle over the Hall H audience. ******Parker acknowledged that the pair did get one note from their producers about the episode. "They were like, 'Okay, but we're gonna blur the penis,'" he recalled, "And I'm like, 'No, you're not gonna blur the penis.'"**
Stone added that they were able to find a loophole for the issue by putting eyes on Trump's genitals, which subsequently turned them into their own character. "If we put eyes on the penis, we won't blur it," he explained. "That was a whole conversation with a lot of grown-up people for about four f---ing days."**
Parker interjected, "Because then it's a character! It had to be two eyes. I don't know why."
