Jane Lynch recently recalled one of her favorite moments with Naya Rivera on *Glee*, which also happened to be one of the most intense scenes of the show.

*Glee *stars Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz recently paid tribute to the late Rivera on their recap podcast *And That's What You REALLY Missed. *The duo asked their fellow cast members to share memories about the actress.

Lynch, who played cheer coach Sue Sylvester on the series, said that Rivera was "so missed." She also detailed her favorite scene between her character and Santana Lopez, played by Rivera.

The *Party Down *actress said it happened on the season 5 episode "The Quarterback." This was *Glee'*s tribute episode for Cory Monteith and his character Finn Hudson, who had been killed off after Monteith's death in 2013.

The scene shows Santana confronting Sue for taking down a memorial of Finn in the school hallway. They get into an argument and Santana accuses Sue of treating Finn poorly when he was alive.

The fight escalates and ends with Santana pushing Sue into a cabinet. Lynch said she was actually "scared" in the moment.

"It was powerful, it was real, and she meant it," she said. "And I was very impressed with her, her commitment, and her strength because I'm a big girl."

Lynch also said Rivera was a "real pro," who was able to memorize her monologues with ease. She added that the *Devious Maids* actress was "word perfect" by the first take of any scene.

Rivera died in 2020 at the age of 33. She accidentally drowned in Lake Piru while on a trip with her son.
