CBS announced the series in May. *Y: Marshals *will see Grimes, 41, reprise his role as Kayce Dutton after he has sold off a large portion of the Yellowstone Ranch at the end of the original series. *Y: Marshals* is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, with franchise mastermind Taylor Sheridan attached as an executive producer alongside Grimes, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari. Spencer Hudnut will also pull double-duty on the project as both an executive producer and its showrunner.

The series joins the growing list of *Yellowstone* spinoffs that are slated to grace fans' screens in the future.

A new family and new Montana setting will take the reins in *The Madison* (formerly titled *2024*), and though it is the first present-day spinoff of *Yellowstone*, it hasn't added any of the original cast thus far, instead casting Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, and Matthew Fox in main roles. According to a press release, the series "is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana."

In September, Kelly Reilly, aka *the* Beth Dutton herself, confirmed to* *that her and Cole Hauser were in talks to star in their own separate show. **

"There's potentially another chapter," Reilly said at the time. "It's being talked about now."

"Nothing is set in stone," she continued. "But if Taylor wants to write it, I would want to do it. That's it. Because he's the one that's written every single line I've ever said. She came from his imagination. But we're both in agreement that there's a shift that has to take place. Because you can't keep telling the same story. This story is ending. *Yellowstone* as we know it is ending, but if there is more story to tell with some of the characters, it's going to be a little different."

*Y: Marshals* is set for an early 2026 premiere on CBS.**
