The Television Critics Association Awards have fallen into *The Pitt*. The breakout HBO Max hit ruled the 41st edition of the awards with four wins on Wednesday, including Program of the Year.*****The Pitt* won every category in which it was nominated, also taking home Outstanding Achievement in Drama, Outstanding New Program, and Individual Achievement in Drama for star, executive producer, and writer Noah Wyle. The medical drama, which received 13 Emmy nominations last month, is the first show to produce a perfect sweep since 2020, when *Watchmen* also converted all four of its nominations into wins.**** There was no in-person awards ceremony for the fifth time in six years as TCA's summer press tour was canceled. Winners accepted via video.**

"Big thank you to the TCA for recognizing our work," *The Pitt* creator R. Scott Gemmill said. "We're so grateful to be honored along with our fellow nominees. Big thank you to our cast and crew who work so hard every day to make us look great. And a special big thank you to all the healthcare workers who are there for us 24/7, and we appreciate everything you do."**** Wyle's victory ended a nine-year run of female winners in the gender-neutral category. Prior to this, the last male champ was Jon Hamm, who collected his second win in 2015 for *Mad Men*'s final season.**** "It is an honor to be nominated, especially in that company, and it is incredibly gratifying to win," Wyle said in his speech. "I've known a lot of you for a long time. You've written some lovely things about me through the years and about my shows, especially this one."**

*The Pitt*'s domination meant that the nomination leader — and *The Pitt*'s main Emmy rival — *Severance* went home empty-handed. The Apple TV+ hit had five nominations, including triple bids in Individual Achievement in Drama for Adam Scott, Britt Lower, and Tramell Tillman. *Severance* is the first solo nomination leader to not win a single award since *The Shield* went 0-4 in 2009.

Last year, *Hacks* swept the comedy categories en route to its huge Emmy upset, but it failed to defend either crown. *The Studio* took Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, while *Somebody Somewhere*'s Bridget Everett denied Jean Smart a third Individual Achievement in Comedy honor for *Hacks*. Smart doesn't have anything to worry about at the Emmys, though, because Everett was snubbed in acting (she is nominated in writing). Everett is now the eighth consecutive female winner in the category.**

In a twist, the *Studio* team did not thank Sal Saperstein in their speech. "I've been to the TCAs a few times. It's really fun. I've had drinks at them," co-creator and star Seth Rogen said. "I've gotten to meet some cool people. It is not lost on us that this year it is not a live event and we don't get to do that. But you know what?"**** "At home, we hope you're getting trashed watching this on your laptops," co-creator Evan Goldberg chimed in.**** "Yes, and we are all drunk right now just in case, so thank you," Rogen added.**

Other winners include *Adolescence* (Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries or Specials), *SNL50: The Anniversary Special* (Outstanding Achievement in Variety, Talk or Sketch), and *The Traitors*, which nabbed its second straight win in Outstanding Achievement in Reality.**** "Thank you so much for giving us this award again," *The Traitors* host and executive producer Alan Cumming said. "Really means a lot, especially coming from the critics, because when you start something new and different and you're trying to change a genre, in a way, it's really heartening that the critics get that and notice and receive it in the way that it was intended and support it."**

*Matlock* star Kathy Bates, who lost the individual drama prize to Wyle, received the Career Achievement Award. *Sesame Street*, the Outstanding Achievement in Children's Programming champ, also earned the Heritage Award, which was accepted by Elmo.******* Sign up for **'s free newsletter to get the latest trailers, celebrity interviews, film reviews, and more.******* "Oh you like Elmo. You really like Elmo. Elmo's speechless, and that never happens. Elmo said. "It's so kind of you to give us this Heritage Award. Elmo's not really sure what that means, but it sounds very, very important. Thank you. Now it's time to celebrate! Break out the cookies and chocolate milk!"
