Kirsten Dunst is ready for her next big *block*-buster.
The 43-year-old actress revealed in a recent *Town & Country* interview that she's keen to star in the upcoming sequel to the box office smash hit, *A Minecraft Movie*.
Her interest in the video game adaptation, she told the outlet, is twofold. On one hand, her and partner Jesse Plemons' sons, Ennis and James, are big fans of the first film. On the other, she'd also just *really* like a chance to cash in on a bit of that *Minecraft* cheddar cheese.

"Maybe I can just make a movie where I don't lose money?" Dunst quipped.
And, well, certainly *Minecraft 2* seems like a good place to start. The Jason Momoa- and Jack Black-led film is currently the third top-grossing film of 2025, racking up almost a billion dollars worldwide. It is also holds the title of highest-grossing film at the domestic box office.
Throughout her decades-long career, Dunst has dabbled in both tentpole franchises and indie darlings alike. She previously starred as Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi's *Spider-Man *trilogy, a role she told* Marie Claire* just last year that she'd be interested in reprising "because you get paid a lot of money, and I have two children, and I support my mother."

Dunst has spoken out about her finances in recent years, telling the BBC that she "didn't even think to ask" about equal pay as a young actress.
"Hopefully, the way I carve my path will help other actresses, but I definitely grew up in a time with major pay disparity between the lead actor and myself, even though I had been in* Bring It On *and he hadn't," she said. "You know what I mean? I had more success in my box office than he did."

Still, Dunst pointed out that she was still a teen at the time and wasn't aware that she even had the option to negotiate her salary.
"I was 17! I'm still learning! When you're that age.. I'm still learning my taste in film! I didn't even think to ask," she said. "I didn't even know there was a place to challenge it. That's how it felt at 17."

Dunst is next set to star in the crime comedy *Roofman* opposite Channing Tatum.
Speaking with *Town & Country*, she also revealed that her other upcoming projects include a "mermaid story" with Mikey Madison and "Sofia Coppola's next film," which begins shooting next year.
And, hey, here's hoping that* Minecraft 2 *is soon added to that list.
