Harrison Ford recently reached out to Jay Leno for the first time in over a decade with an unusual request.
The *Indiana Jones* star appeared on the NPR podcast *Wild Card* with Rachel Martin, which features guests answering existential questions. In the middle of his final quandary, he was interrupted by a phone call from the former *Tonight Show *host.
"Jay's printing a 3D-printed toilet seat for me," Ford explained.

Naturally, Martin had questions. Mainly, why?
The *Shrinking* actor said that he has a toilet in his Wyoming home that has an "unattractive" and discolored seat. The model he has was discontinued, so Ford tried for years to find a replacement seat, to no avail. Even his friends in the plumbing industry couldn't help.
Ford had remembered that Leno owned a 3D printer, which the movie star had seen in the comedian's garage many years ago. The *Star Wars* actor said it was "really hard" to call in the favor, considering he hadn't seen Leno recently.
"He embraced the project in a way that I thought I never could have imagined," Ford said. "People appeared from the depths, out of the shadows, and they got involved in it."

Martin asked if the seat would be functional or if it was "just for aesthetics." Ford confirmed that he was planning on actually using the seat.
"This is going to be the toilet seat in my office," he said.
New toilet seat aside, this has been a big year for Ford — six decades into show business. The 83-year-old actor recently received his first-ever Emmy nomination. He is a contender for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for his role as Dr. Paul Rhoades on *Shrinking*.
