*Better Call Saul: Life During Lockup *does have a certain ring to it.

Bob Odenkirk recently talked about the potential for a *Better Call Saul *revival with TODAY.com. The actor, who originated the character on *Breaking Bad*, said he's open to the idea, but certain conditions would have to be met. First and foremost, Odenkirk noted, Saul is incarcerated: "He's not getting out. If there's another Saul show, it takes place inside prison."

Second: "Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould created that show. They are some of the best writers who ever worked in TV," he said. "So if they were to think of something in that world, of course I would do it."**

Odenkirk's screen career stretches back to the late 1980s. His first-ever appearance came during his tenure as a writer for *Saturday Night Live*, which lasted from 1987-1991, but he quickly graduated to appearances on sitcoms like *Roseanne*, *The Larry Sanders Show*, and his own series, *Mr. Show with Bob and David*, which he co-created with David Cross.

He continued to be cast nearly entirely in comedic roles until Gilligan picked him for the unscrupulous lawyer and former conman Saul Goodman on *Breaking Bad*.

"That part turned my life around, and I've given more to that part than anything I've done," Odenkirk reminisced, but said he's "fine with moving on" from the character, as well as his *Nobody *and *Nobody 2 *character Hutch Mansell. "They're guys who, for different reasons, have pretty big chips on their shoulders, and that's hard to play after a while... You can't just carry that guy around all the time."**

Though open to a third potential return in the *Breaking Bad *universe, Odenkirk noted that his own busy schedule, as well as Gilligan's and Gould's full plates, may make that difficult. "I think they've all moved on to some more amazing projects that you'll soon see."**

Odenkirk's *Better Call Saul *costar Rhea Seehorn, who played Saul's co-worker, then love interest, then wife Kim Wexler, is already plotting a reunion with one of their former series creators. Gilligan will soon premiere his highly anticipated new show *Pluribus *on Apple TV+, and Seehorn is set to star alongside Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, Miriam Shor, and Samba Schutte. The nine-episode series is described as "genre-bending" and centered on "the most miserable person on Earth, tasked to save the world from happiness."**
