Welcoming a litter of puppies is a big deal for a new mama — and an even bigger deal when it’s her first ever babies!
Cotswold Cavaliers just shared a glimpse of Margot the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel‘s first litter of puppies on their very first day of life, and they are the tiniest, most precious little nuggets.
It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to see a whole pile of newborn puppies cuddling together as they nap on each other, so for that reason alone, I adore this footage.
They’re all so small, but so gorgeous already, and I’m pretty sure I can tell that they already look like their mom!
Mama can be seen relaxing in the background, but if you want to see what she looks like, there are plenty of videos of Margot on Cotswold Cavaliers’ TikTok page, including one from when she got an ultrasound and her humans found out that she was pregnant. What a fun memory!

These Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Are Growing So Fast
So far, these puppies’ journey has continued to be documented, and what an adorable journey it’s been so far.
In one update that was shared on Friday, we got to see the one of the puppies at just one week old. And while they already look bigger than they did in that first video, they’re still tiny enough to fit in one human hand. They are too sweet!
This sweet baby is just snoozing away, no cares given. It must be so cozy to be a puppy this small that you can feel like you’re receiving a full body hug just from someone holding you in the palm of their hand!
They also just weighed in for their one week milestone, and so far, Lozenge is the biggest puppy in the litter at 325 grams, or just over 11 ounces — these puppies haven’t even hit one pound yet!
I can’t wait for more footage of these little ones. I just know Margot must be such a proud mama!
