Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has died, WWE confirmed on Thursday. He was 71.

He died from cardiac arrest, reported TMZ. Paramedics were dispatched to the former pro wrestler's home in Clearwater, Fla., on Thursday morning

A representative for Hogan did not immediately respond to **'s request for comment.

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, played a significant role in bringing professional wrestling to the mainstream during the 1980s.
