The sun has still not set on *Days of Our Lives*: The beloved soap is getting at least two more seasons at Peacock, the streamer announced Thursday.
The daytime series has been picked up for its 62nd and 63rd seasons, respectively, extending the run of one of television's most iconic and trailblazing drama series, which has featured non-stop drama, romance, mystery, and suspense since its debut in 1965.
*Days* of course follows the lives, loves, and conflicts of the Horton, Brady, DiMera, Kiriakis, and Hernandez families and their many friends and colleagues. It is one of the longest-running scripted television programs in the world, and is enjoyed in many foreign territories including Canada, Sweden, New Zealand, Israel, South Africa, and Australia, according to Peacock.
The renewal news comes on the heels of *Days of Our Lives* being nominated for 13 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Daytime Drama Series, which is the most it has received since its debut on the streamer.

In a twist worthy of a soap opera, NBC revealed in August 2022 that *Days of Our Lives*, the network's longest-running series at the time, would be making the jump to the streamer later that fall.
New episodes of *Days of Our Lives* began debuting daily on Peacock starting in September that year. At the time, the show, which had collected 58 Daytime Emmys during its 57-year run on broadcast TV, already had a robust library of its 14,000-plus episodes available to Peacock Premium subscribers.
"This programming shift benefits both Peacock and NBC and is reflective of our broader strategy to utilize our portfolio to maximize reach and strengthen engagement with viewers," said Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, in a statement at the time. "With a large percentage of the *Days of Our Lives* audience already watching digitally, this move enables us to build the show's loyal fanbase on streaming while simultaneously bolstering the network daytime offering with an urgent, live programming opportunity for partners and consumers."
