It was 20 years ago when a reality TV fan nurse got up off the couch to play on *Survivor: Panama — Exile Island*. Little did Cirie Fields know then that she would become an immediate fan favorite and reality TV legend — a player so popular producers would create a penultimate episode cliffhanger to keep her on the air heading into the finale.
Twenty years later, Cirie is back on the island… TWICE! Cirie will be appearing alongside fellow U.S. stars Parvati Shallow and Tony Vlachos overseas on *Australian Survivor: Australia v The World* (premiering Aug. 17), and then again stateside on the highly anticipated *Survivor 50* (premiering in 2026 on CBS).
But will those be the last times we ever see the soon-to-be six-season *Survivor* player on an island? Do these two installments mark her final outings? We connected with the *Survivor* superstar to ask exactly that.
We also had other questions on our mind — questions spurred by Cirie's recent Nutri-Grain "Not Sorry" ad, in which the contestant starts by apologizing for all her dastardly reality TV deeds, only to then backtrack and rescind her apologies. That apology nullifier comes complete with shout-outs to Courtney Marit (whom Cirie blindsided on *Survivor: Panama*) and Arie Luyendyk Jr. (whom she brutally cut from the prize pot on her way to winning season 1 of *The Traitors*).
So is she sorry or *not* sorry for her past scheming? What sort of preparation did she do for *Survivor 50?* And will that all-star season really be her last? We were definitely not sorry to ask those questions and more.

**ENTERTIANMENT WEKELY: So in this Nutri-Grain "Not Sorry" ad, you specifically call out your blindside of Courtney Marit. That is going all the way back, Cirie.**
**CIRIE FIELDS**: You know why? I am 55 years old, as you know, and thinking about my reality TV career, the first person that was really upset with me about playing the game was actually Courtney. So if I think about the first and the last, it's fitting: Courtney and Arie. And I'm not sorry.
I think it's something that happens with age. Like my mother says, after you get a certain age, you don't care what people think. You are unapologetically you. And that is what I am trying to be from this stage in my life on. I am unapologetic. And after like thinking about it, what am I sorry for? Why am I even apologizing? I'm not sorry. We all showed up here for the same reason. And had they blindsided me, I guarantee you they wouldn't have been sorry.
**You mention Courtney from Panama and Arie from *The Traitors* as things maybe people think you should feel bad for, but not Erik. How could Erik not make the cut?**
I mean, I tried to put him in there! [*Laughs*] But no, I'm not sorry about anything anymore. I'm not. The only thing I'm sorry for is staying on the couch for 35 years. That's the only thing I'm sorry about because there's so much life and there are so many experiences and so many things that I actually got to see once I got up off the couch. Other than that, I'm not sorry.

**Did you do anything different with your preparation before you headed out for season 50?**
No, I didn't actually. I clearly didn't do anything with my working out. [*Laughs*] And I'm not sorry for that either! I have a specific set of skills that I kind of try to hone in on. I'm not your gym rat. I will never be at age 55. Nothing is going to happen that's going to change me or change my life and make me enjoy working out. So no, I don't do anything with my diet. I don't do anything with my physicality. Maybe I should have, but I'm not sorry for not doing it.
**Just from a physical perspective, what is playing *Survivor* in your 50s like as opposed to playing in your thirties?**
Playing *Survivor* in your 50s is like driving a car that you had 20 years ago. [*Laughs*] It was brand new when you drove it off the lot. It was shiny and you had all the gadgets and stuff, and you had that new car smell. Then, after about 10 years or so, you might need to change a fuel pump or catalytic converter. Fifteen years, you might need a head gasket. Twenty years? You think about trading that car in. That's what it is like.
It lets you know, every second of your age when you play at 50 versus 35. You know, at 35, I still felt 25. So it was like, "Yeah, I'm 35," but I was confused that I was on the older women's tribe, remember? So at 35, I didn't feel 35. At 55, you get that little knock like, 'Hey, you in your 50s now. Relax." [*Laughs*]

**What's it like to have two different seasons of *Survivor* in the can and coming out over the next year. That's a new one for you.**
It is awesome, Dalton, because as you know, when I started *Exile Island*, I had zero expectations. I didn't think anything. One, I didn't think they were gonna pick, choose me. Two, after the game was over, in my mind, it was over and that was it. Maybe they might have an all-stars season 10 years from now, but that's all it was at that time.
So to have gone back several times to played across the globe is just extra blessings for me. I'm still kind of, I don't know, in awe of it all myself. Like when people are like, "Wow, you a busy girl. You got this, you got that," I take a breath and I sit back and am like, "Wow, who knew?" There's no way I could have anticipated all of this and being so blessed. That's how I feel.
**After doing *Australian Survivor* and *Survivor 50*, will that be if for you and *Survivor* or are you keeping the door open?**
Oh, Dalton, I'm tired. I'll go and do a guest spot if they want me to come and teach some of these young'uns how to play. [*Laughs*] Or maybe be a supportive coach or something. I don't know if Jeff [Probst] needs a nurse on set, maybe. But outside of that, I'm like, ugh. I don't know. I never say never though. And somebody told me, never say never. So I never say never. But I feel like 50 was my swan song.

**So then what show do you want to do next?**
*Deal or No Deal Island* after David won $5.8 million is looking attractive. You know what I want? I wouldn't mind having one of my family members with *Extracted*. You know why? Because I could be a lot of help from the inside. I could be sleeping in the bed, making decisions while somebody else is out there struggling — my honey or one of the kids, somebody who wouldn't mind doing *Extracted* either because they would have the benefit of having a gamer inside. They would just have to survive with the elements and do the challenges.
